We have 3 weeks of school under our belt and things are going great in 110!
A few early changes: our Science Lab time has changed. It remains every other Wednesday but is earlier. We will be donning our lab coats and goggles from 9:00-9:50.
In the front of your child's agenda they have a sticker with login information for Firstinmath.com
This is for online math facts practice.
Monday we will be recording login information for raz-kids.com
This is a great resource for reading. We will be using it some at school, but will be great to be used at home. It provides just-right books so that kids can practice books on an appropriate level. It also provides books to read when they may be looking for something new.
So far we have been working on Place Value in Math, Matter in Science, Nouns and Daily 5 for Second Grade.
A few reminders: Homework should be done every night, this includes at least 20 minutes of reading. Remember to send in a healthy snack every day. Our media center time changes, so it is best to keep library books in backpacks if they go home.

SUPER Second Grade!
